NTTドコモビジネス株式会社、株式会社東芝、日本電気株式会社（NEC）は6月30日、東名阪の三大都市圏を結ぶ約600kmの広域量子暗号通信ネットワークの構築を開始し、構築後、これを用いた量子鍵配送の実証実験を行うと発表した。3社によると、東名阪の約600kmにおよぶ広域量子暗号通信ネットワークは国内初。
