GitHubは2026年1月14日、GitHub Copilot SDKのテクニカルプレビュー版を公開した。そして1月22日に、このSDKを使うことで、GitHub Copilot CLIにおけるエージェント実行基盤「Copilot agentic core」を、任意のアプリケーションに組み込めるようになったことを発表した。

GitHubは1月26日（現地時間）、AIコード生成モデル「GPT-5.2-Codex」が複数の主要統合開発環境（IDE）で利用可能となったと発表した。Visual Studio、JetBrains IDE、Xcode、Eclipseの最新版に対応し、GitHub Copilot Enterprise、Business、Pro、およびPro+のユーザー向けにリリースされている。
